Widely used in beauty care as an astringent and antiseptic oil. It has been a remedy for acne, brittle nails, nervous system ailments, viral diseases of many types, asthma, and gall bladder ailments. It takes about six dozen lemon rinds to produce one ounce. The essential oil is a pale greenish-yellow with a bright citrus fragrance.
