JAMAICAN DOGWOOD Piscidia erythrina
Liquid extract of dried outer bark.
- Actions: Nerve sedative, soporific and anodyne. Antispasmodic.
- Uses: Spasmodic affections and various forms of neuralgia. Cerebral excitation. Insomnia dues
to nervous excitement, worry and anxiety. General nervous excitement. Spastic cough,
bronchitis. Painful menstrual periods. Adjunct therapy during withdrawal from addictive
drugs; delirium tremens. Intestinal, gallbladder and renal colic. Hysteria of uterine or ovarian
origin. Various pains: toothache, arthritis, fractures, sciatica, cancer, etc..
- Dose: Take 30 to 40 drops, 2 to 4 times per day.
- Cautions: Consult a qualified midwife or physician before taking during pregnancy. Avoid or
use cautiously with children, the aged, or anyone that is weak or feeble.
