A fresh, outdoors fragrance just as its name would invoke. It is especially popular during the holidays for use as an aromatic. It is said to remedy respiratory weaknesses such as asthma or bronchitis. It is highly esteemed in Europe for its medicinal virtues and its fragrance. The oil is either colorless or a very pale yellow. Fir is often used as a fragrant component in deodorants, room sprays, disinfectants, and bath preparations. Since there are many "cousins" to this oil, it is a very good idea to check the specific botanical name.
